If you need to make a claim, follow the steps below to ensure the process runs smoothly: 1. Ensure Safety First Make sure everyone involved is safe. If necessary, contact the emergency services immediately. 2. Gather Important Information Collect all relevant details, including names, addresses, contact numbers, vehicle registrations (if applicable), and any witness information. Take photographs where possible. 3. Do Not Admit Liability Do not admit fault or liability at the scene. Simply exchange details and inform us as soon as possible. 4. Motor Claims If you are involved in a motor accident or incident, you must report it within 24 hours to avoid a possible increase to your policy excess. Full details of this requirement can be found in the documentation and emails previously sent to you. Fault, Windscreen, Fire & Theft Motor Claims For all fault, windscreen, fire, and theft motor claims, please contact your insurance company directly. The claims telephone number can be found in your policy documents. Alternatively, you can search online by entering your insurer’s name followed by “claims number.” If you are unsure and it is during our office hours, please contact us on 01634 855995, and we will be happy to guide you. Legal Cover Claims (Kindertons & Sovereign Claims) If you purchased Legal Cover arranged through Kindertons and Sovereign Claims, they can manage your motor claim on your behalf. As part of this service, they will: • Take full details of the incident • Provide a replacement vehicle (if the claim is non-fault and you have the third party’s details) • Recover uninsured losses from the third party • Notify your insurer of the claim Important: You must inform them of your actual insurance company. If they are unable to notify your insurer due to missing information, delays may occur and additional excess charges could apply.
